Recently, VintechME engineers carried out the repair and maintenance of a water ingress (IP) test chamber (in accordance with JIS and SAE standards) for a major electrical and electronics components manufacturer in Hanoi.

Testing Standards – JIS

Testing Standards – SAE

Spray angle: 45° ±5°
Spray rate: 2.5 (+1.6 / −0) mm/min
Turntable speed: 4 rpm

Rotation Mechanism

Turntable: 0–17 rpm (adjustable)
Spray nozzle: 23 rpm

Equipment Condition Before Repair

Sealing gaskets were aged, causing water leakage
Pump base was corroded and rusted
Rotating shaft was jammed and leaking water
Chain transmission system was misaligned, causing abnormal noise during operation

Corrective Actions

Performed major repair and maintenance
Replaced all sealing gaskets
Replaced the corroded pump base with a new one
Realigned the chain transmission system and lubricated all bearings

Testing & Acceptance After Repair

After repair and maintenance, the equipment was tested and:
- Operated normally
- Met all technical specifications as per manufacturer standards
The customer signed the acceptance report
The equipment is covered by a 6-month warranty after repair
